Russell Westbrook may be done with the NBA, but that doesn’t mean fans have seen the last of Brodie on the basketball court.
BIG3 founder Ice Cube is already showing interest in bringing Westbrook to the 3-on-3 league, saying he believes fans would still love to watch the former MVP compete.
And honestly? It makes a lot of sense.
Westbrook remains one of the most recognizable and entertaining players of his generation. From his relentless athleticism and intensity to his historic triple-double numbers, he built a fanbase that has followed him throughout an 18-year NBA career. Despite what portions of the mainstream media have worked overtime to convince the basketball populace of, Westbrook is still capable of competing at a fairly high level.
The BIG3 could give Westbrook an opportunity to compete on his own terms while giving fans one more chance to see him lace up.
The league has also become a destination for former NBA stars looking to continue playing after their NBA careers come to an end.
So, could we see Russell Westbrook in the BIG3?
One more run for Brodie?
